Slider plates / screws do not hold:

Please use the thicker bit of the supplied screwdriver to tighten the slider through the cushion. Make sure to insert the screwdriver correctly to avoid premature wear of the screw inside the cushion.

Please follow our tutorial video:

Chinrest screws are worn / chinrest does not hold:

With your new DOLFINOS system, you received a set of replacement screws. Please replace the chinrest screws immediately and test them. If the chinrest still does not hold securely, please contact us.

Clicking noises from the shoulder rest:

Clicking noises usually occur when the adapter is not tightened sufficiently and shifts on the instrument. This can happen especially during the first few months after installing a new adapter, as the cork pads on the adapter gradually compress over time. This may result in clicking or squeaking noises.

To eliminate these noises, please proceed as follows:

  1. Remove the chin rest.
  2. Tighten the adapter screws using the supplied screwdriver.
  3. Check whether the adapter is secure by pressing against it with both thumbs. The adapter should no longer move.

If clicking noises persist, please check that:

  • both plastic covers are securely attached to the adapter, and
  • all screws are tightened appropriately.

If the noises cannot be eliminated despite these steps, please contact us by email with a detailed description of the issue.
