The slider friction washers can be used on both sides of the shoulder rest to influence the basic lateral angle of the instrument. This effect can be even augmented by repositioning the sliders on the curved arms of the shoulder rest, bringing the breast slider more upwards making the instrument stand flatter.

High: Height of 5.7mm (normally used for the breast slider ball joint system)
Low: Height of 4.5mm (normally used for the clavicula slider ball joint system)
